COVID-19 Testing for U of U Summer Program Participants

Prepare for your test

We are offering convenient, accurate COVID-19 testing at the Student Union and the Officers Club (Ft. Douglas area) for those participating in summer programs on the U of U campus. Please make an appointment in advance and remember the following when coming to the site:

  • Be prepared to show your appointment confirmation e-mail.
  • Don’t eat or drink within 30 minutes of arrival.
  • Don’t come if you are symptomatic. If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, either arrange for a clinical test in the community (U Health Hotline: 801-587-0712) or schedule one on-campus by calling 801-581-2949.
  • Wear a facial covering.

What to expect on-site

Your appointment and your registration information will be verified. You will receive a kit containing a saliva tube and a funnel and you will be instructed to fill 2/3 of the way full with saliva. Once you have completed the saliva collection process in a partitioned space, you will be directed to the check-out desk. You will receive your results within 6-24 hours via the e-mail address that you provided upon registration.

Cost

Your program will have arranged for all testing costs to be covered based on the frequency of testing your program requires.
